The Hartford Joint #1 School District will be asking voters to approve a $8.2 million facilities referendum on the Nov. 5 general election ballot.

Voters in the district will be able to vote for or against the referendum, which aims to fund a comprehensive school facility improvement and maintenance plan throughout the district, which includes Rossman and Lincoln Elementary Schools and Central Middle School.

Ahead of the Nov. 5 general election, the Daily News spoke with HJ#1 Superintendent Tara Villalobos about the referendum, and her answers to the Daily News’ questions are below.
