Miron Mental Health Hub

SHARED LIVED EXPERIENCE

We may feel alone, but there is more that brings us together than we think and it’s acknowledging the courage of others and sharing lived experience that is going to help us lower suicide numbers, educate others, bring awareness, and eliminate stigma of mental health within the construction industry and beyond, ultimately saving lives!

QPR TRAINING

Miron Construction is prioritizing suicide prevention by training as many Miron employees as possible to be QPR Gatekeepers, a national program whose mission is to save lives and reduce suicidal behaviors by providing innovative, practical, and proven suicide prevention training. QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer – the three simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Thus far, more than 500 Miron employees are trained QPR Gatekeepers.

By getting trained, you become equipped with the knowledge and tools needed to recognize signs of distress and offer invaluable support to someone in crisis. We understand the demands and challenges of our industry, but the well-being of our team is paramount. The training sessions, held regularly over the past year, have garnered positive feedback and brought us closer as a team. Most of all, they have saved lives.
