Each year, Miron holds a series of Craftspeople Appreciation Events at various locations throughout Wisconsin and Iowa, where we perform most of our work. These events (which include a social hour, a chance to play games and win prizes, dinner, a presentation, a raffle, and a gift) provide the opportunity to not only thank our craftspeople for the amazing work that they do, but to affirm the importance of safety, quality, and production. By taking the opportunity to share a meal together, talk about safety topics, reflect on the past year, and learn about what’s ahead, we are able to connect the office with the field and strengthen our team.
For more than 20 years, Miron has invested in our people at our annual employee summits. The goals of these summits are to build camaraderie amongst our employees, provide learning and development opportunities, review the previous year’s successes, and conduct strategic planning for the year ahead.
The successes that come from these summits are unmatched. A registered apprenticeship is a high-quality career pathway with limitless potential! Apprentices earn a steady paycheck while gaining the knowledge and skills for success in the trades. Upon completion of the program, apprentices receive a nationally recognized completion certificate, which allow them to work anywhere in the U.S.

Each year, between 30 and 50 young adults are assigned to Miron’s four-year program, learning the trades of masonry, carpentry, ironwork, and millwright services. At the end of their paid training, they emerge as skilled professionals.
Most become full-time Miron employees, proud to count themselves among the 1,300+ skilled craftspeople on the company’s payroll. In fact, 60 percent of Miron’s craftspeople originally started in the apprenticeship program. And many of them—more than 20 in all—are the third generation of their families working for Miron. Over the years, hundreds of people have participated in the company’s apprenticeship program.
