Miron Construction hosts Menasha Joint School District In-Service Day Highlighting Construction Career Opportunities for Students
Miron recently had the privilege of hosting Menasha Joint School District’s (MJSD) in-service day for their middle and high school teachers.
Their day included a tour at the project site of the new Maplewood Middle and Intermediate School with stations focused on highlighting the opportunities available in and the skills needed for the construction industry. After the tours, the staff headed to our corporate office where they attended several educational sessions that revolved around careers in architecture and design, preconstruction, and construction.
Throughout the day, MJSD teachers explored innovative ways to connect construction careers with core curriculum subjects like math, science, language arts, and technical education. By using the new middle school as a dynamic learning lab, they discovered practical strategies to bring these fields to life for their students.
Building a new school is a once-in-a-generation event, and we’re proud to have played a part in this enriching day. The knowledge and insights gained will ripple through the classrooms, leaving a lasting impact on the students who will shape the future of our communities for years to come.
