Sustainably Speaking Series
Miron’s commitment to sustainability is deeply embedded in everything we do. We actively encourage our clients to integrate eco-friendly technologies and green practices into their facilities, ensuring a lasting positive impact. Beyond our projects, we take pride in giving back –whether through community clean-ups that help keep our neighborhoods thriving or through our own offices pursuing LEED Gold Certifications as a testament to our dedication to sustainable building.
WFRV-TV recently highlighted some of Miron’s eco-friendly and green initiatives in a three-part series, Sustainably Speaking. Check out the three features below!
Miron’s Sustainable Journey
To enhance the well-being of Team Miron, minimize our impact on the environment, and maintain financially-sound facilities, all Miron offices are either LEED Gold Certified or seeking certification. Take a look into the sustainable features that are found within our offices here.
Menasha Maplewood Middle School
Once completed, the new Menasha Maplewood Middle School will be unlike any other school, as it will feature multiple eco-friendly, green technologies. The school will operate entirely without natural gas, making it a fully electric-powered building. Learn more about the school’s green features and how the district plans to use the school as a learning opportunity for students here.
Appleton International Airport Terminal Expansion
The Appleton International Airport has been implementing eco-friendly initiatives for many years, such as low-flow faucets and fixtures and solar panels. Their sustainable journey has continued into their current terminal expansion that Miron is completing. Large window walls will harvest daylight and reduce lighting consumption, the addition’s roof is south facing to benefit the solar panels, and a chilled beam stratification system is being installed as an efficient heating and cooling system.
