Anonymous donor pays for restoration of Oak Hill Cemetery chapel in Neenah

Oak Hill Cemetery is the site of two construction projects: the restoration of the mortuary chapel at the southeast corner and the erection of a storage garage on the west side.

Both projects are being funded by an anonymous benefactor.

“It is not costing the city anything,” Mayor Jane Lang told me.

The two projects are related. The chapel was being used by cemetery staff to store equipment such as lawnmowers, string trimmers, etc. Restoring the chapel to its original condition to accommodate funerals required a new place to store the equipment, so the benefactor agreed to pay for the garage.
