Governor Tony Evers visit future site of Maplewood School, touts clean energy

Governor Tony Evers visited a construction site in Menasha that could be the new face for sustainability and education.

“They’re going to be I think free of costs as it relates to heating and electricity. It’s good, the people of Menasha should be very proud of this building, it’s super, and it’s going to be something that people are going to see across the state of Wisconsin,” said Gov. Evers.

We first alerted you to this story after Menasha voters in 2022 approved a nearly $100 million referendum for the school district.

That money is now going toward construction for the new Maplewood School, which is set to be the largest all-electric zero-net energy school in Wisconsin once completed.
