Here’s what you’d like to see happen with the Packers Heritage Trail

Posted by Miron Construction

The most popular option for where the Packers Heritage Trail should go has turned out to be the only one that won’t be possible.

The Press-Gazette from Nov. 5-13 asked readers where they thought Packers Heritage Inc. should relocate the football-shaped plaza as a legal battle between the city and Green Bay Packers appeared imminent.

The top response, preferred by 25 respondents or 18% of all responses, was to leave it where it is, the northeast corner of Cherry and North Washington streets. The option, already unlikely by early November, became nonviable this month as the city and Packers reached a tentative settlement over the plaza’s future. The city has since contracted with Miron Construction to remove the plaza and deliver it to the Packers-run nonprofit that originally raised the money for the plaza.
