Miron Construction to start building Madison’s first purpose-built men’s shelter this summer

Construction is set to start later this summer on Madison’s first ever purpose-built men’s shelter after the city finalized a construction bid, but not before some maneuvering of federal funds.
“It’s been a long road,” Community Development Director Jim O’Keefe said.
But even long roads end in twists and turns — this one, ended in a tale of two empty lots.
The first lot is the site of the future men’s shelter on Bartillon Drive, off Stoughton Road on the city’s East side.
