Park Falls celebrates YMCA groundbreaking

The YMCA of the Northwoods ushered in a new chapter on Monday with the groundbreaking of a new location in Park Falls.
Starting in Rhinelander in 2004, YMCA of the Northwoods has been committed to community programming for people of all ages. The Flambeau River YMCA, located at 400 4th Ave. S., marks a historic partnership between the city of Park Falls and the non-profit organization.
“We are excited for the opportunities that this Y will offer to our community, like daycare, a health center, recreational activities, a senior center and a safe environment for our youth to come and learn and grow,” Park Falls Mayor Tara Tervort said.
