Miron Construction begins work on new Fitchburg fire station

Miron Construction Co. Inc., in partnership with Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc., recently began construction on a new fire station in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. Work on the $5.1 million project began in July and is scheduled to be substantially complete by May 2017.
The new 23,000-square-foot fire station for the City of Fitchburg will replace the current, aging fire station and will provide a better location for daily operations and emergency transit. The single-story station will include multiple elevated mezzanines and a geothermal HVAC system.
