Project Overview

Aspirus Medford Hospital is a Critical Access, Level III Trauma Care Center serving Taylor, Price, and Clark counties in north central Wisconsin. A consistent growth in volume and an aging facility inspired the organization to embark on this project which included new spaces and/or renovations for Cancer & Infusion Services, Birthing Center, Retail Pharmacy, Welcome Center, Specialty Clinics, Emergency Department, Laboratory & Imaging Services, and a Community Education Room.

  • Region’s only water birth suite
  • Community Cafe & Education Center
  • Quick Access Retail Pharmacy
  • World-class Cancer Infusion Center
  • Patient registration time compressed by 65%
  • Compressed staff member steps by 38%
  • Reduced material handling time by 25%
  • 53,904 square feet of flooring was installed, which would cover an NFL football field
  • 35,000 feet (or 6.6 miles) of conduit; 153,000 feet (28.97 miles) of electrical wire; and 180,000 feet (34 miles) of data cable was pulled
  • 745 lights, 750 electrical, and 975 data receptacles were installed
