C-FC partners with facilities consultants

The Cochrane-Fountain City School District (C-FC) has decided to work with two companies that will help the district assess what updates its facilities may need and plan how to communicate with the public about those needs. The partnership could be a step toward a potential referendum to upgrade district facilities.

C-FC Superintendent Troy White said the district is working with Miron Construction from Lake Hallie, Wis., and ISG from La Crosse, Wis., and the two companies are partnering in their work with C-FC. ISG, which focuses on architecture and design, he said, will do much of the work on determining what the district’s facility needs are and designing facility upgrades to fix those needs. At the same time, Miron Construction will determine construction costs and the life expectancy of different parts of C-FC’s facilities. The overall aim is to determine what the district’s facilities needs are, which upgrades the district does not need to make, and whether there is a need for a referendum, he said.
