Evers tours EC plant
Posted by Miron Construction
Gov. Tony Evers toured the Eau Claire Water Treatment Plant on Monday, where he urged the Legislature to release $125 million in federal dollars earmarked to help remove PFAS from drinking water.
“They’ve refused to send it out to municipalities like Eau Claire,” Evers said at the conclusion of the tour. “Many of us believe accountability starts with those who make PFAS. This needs to be part of the solution. This is an important issue, it’s a health issue, and it’s become a political issue.”
