‘It’s all for bragging rights’: Kaukauna Area School District employees ready to take on Fox Cities Marathon business challenge
An integral part of being an educator is setting a positive example for young people, and a group of Kaukauna Area School District employees are trying to do just that.
Led by elementary math coach and district wellness champion Alison Johnson, more than a dozen district employees are teaming up to participate in the Amcor Healthy Business Challenge in September as part of the Community First Fox Cities Marathon Presented by Miron Construction.
“Kaukauna is part of the Fox Cities and for us to be, hopefully, a shining star, a big part of the business challenge, I’m excited for that,” Johnson said. “I’m excited for the teamwork aspect, just being part of a team. It just feels good. I think that helps a lot of different aspects of wellness — not only the physical. It helps the emotional. The social, emotional, physical, it’s all tied together. That’s what we stand on as a wellness committee is being that support for our staff and supporting them with their well-being in general.”
