Neenah military veterans launch fundraiser for service flag memorial at Shattuck Park

American Legion Post 33 has launched a campaign to raise money for a $140,000 service flag memorial at Shattuck Park.
The project will refurbish and incorporate the armed services monument already located at the park. It will add flagpoles and flags for the six branches of the U.S. military — Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy and Space Force — and erect new flagpoles for the existing U.S., Wisconsin and POW/MIA flags.
The city of Neenah will contribute $40,000, according to its 2024-2028 capital improvements plan, leaving $100,000 to be raised by American Legion Post 33.
