Project Overview
Ash Grove Renewable Energy is a biorefinery that utilizes anaerobic digestion to convert dairy manure to renewable natural gas. The facility receives manure from an adjacent dairy where it is thickened and processed through an anaerobic digester. The biogas from the anaerobic digester is then upgraded via amine membrane separation technology to pipeline-quality renewable natural gas. The processed gas is injected via virtual pipeline into the Northwestern Energy natural gas pipeline.
