Project Overview
Miron completed two large construction projects for Fincantieri Marinette Marine as part of the ship builder’s efforts to accommodate the construction of a new class of ships for the U.S. Navy.
Building 34 | This project included construction of a two parallel crane bay with a length of approximately 820’, clear width of 80’, and a 100’ clear height as measured to the bottom of the crane bridge. The building also features employee support areas concentrated on the west side as well as offices and support areas on the second floor. Additionally, there are four mezzanine levels and one equipment platform between the two high bays.
Building 35 | This project included construction of an addition to the existing Panel Line building, including a single crane bay with a length of approximately 230’, a minimum clear width of 120’, and 40’ clear hook height for two overhead bridge cranes. Following completion, Fincantieri Marinette Marine became Green Marine certified, meaning they can now measure their environmental performance against industry standards nationwide.
